Why a dedicated circuit
It is a large load that runs for hours.
Air conditioning is not a kettle. It draws heavily and runs for long stretches, which is why it belongs on its own circuit with its own protection rather than sharing with the power points in the room.
Sharing is how you end up tripping the circuit every time the compressor starts on a hot afternoon.

The third system

Adding a split system to a house with a modern board and spare capacity is straightforward. Adding the third one to a full board is where the job grows, and it is the conversation we have most through spring.
We check the board and the supply as part of quoting rather than discovering it on installation day.
