What we look at
Three things, checked properly.
- Switchboard — obvious concerns, older fuse protection, and where modern RCBO protection would be a sensible upgrade
- Lighting — failed fittings, poor performers and reasonable upgrade opportunities
- Smoke alarms — a visual, compliance-oriented look for alarms that are missing or not where they should be
- What it is not — a comprehensive audit, hours of testing, or access to areas that cannot reasonably be inspected
The honest version
A practical once-over, not a full audit.
This is us looking at what we can reasonably see while we are there — obvious concerns, older protection, gaps worth knowing about. It depends on having reasonable access to the areas involved.
It is not a comprehensive electrical audit, and it is not a complete smoke alarm integrity test. Anyone offering you that for free is selling you something else.
